Former Senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, has criticized the Federal Government's proposal of a N48,000 minimum wage, likening it to an "Almajiri offer."
Reports from NewsNow indicate that the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) have rejected the government's proposal of N48,000 as the minimum wage for public service employees.
The proposal was put forward during a tripartite committee meeting between the government and organized labour, which took place recently.
In response, the labour representatives walked out of the meeting, which was conducted virtually.
