Edo Pilgrims in Need of $60,000 for DTA during Hajj 2024
For the upcoming pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia in 2024, the Edo State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board has highlighted the necessity of $60,000 to cover Duty Tour Allowance (DTA) and sacrificial animals for the pilgrims.
According to reports by NewsNow, a total of 300 intending pilgrims are set to embark on this year's journey to the Holy Land of Saudi Arabia.
During a visit by the state governor, Godwin Obaseki, to bid farewell to the intending pilgrims, Sheikh Ibrahim Oyarekhua, the chairman of the board, revealed this information in Benin City.
The 300 pilgrims from the state are scheduled to be flown to Saudi Arabia on Friday, May 24, for the Hajj operation.
