House of Assembly receives new commissioner-nominees from Fubara amidst Rivers crisis
Submitting a fresh list of commissioner-nominees, Governor Siminalayi Fubara has taken the initiative to present the candidates to the House of Assembly.
The nominees will be subject to a rigorous screening process and will require the approval of the lawmakers before assuming their roles.
Today, on Tuesday, the nominees are slated to undergo the screening process by the Assembly members who are aligned with the governor.
This development comes in the wake of the resignation of certain commissioners who were loyal to the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, stemming from the breakdown of the peace accord brokered by President Bola Tinubu.
