772 Corps Members Successfully Complete Service, 7 Abscond as Seven Gombe

In Gombe State, 772 batch B stream I corps members have finished their national service, with three receiving extensions and seven reported to have absconded.

During a modest passing out ceremony, Gombe State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, Chinwe Nwachuku, shared that out of the total of 782 individuals, only 772 successfully completed their service.

The absconding incidents were a result of various offenses committed by the individuals in question. Nwachuku stated, “Seven absconded and three had their service extended. The remaining 772 are set to pass out.”

Addressing the corps members during their passing out ceremony, Nwachuku congratulated them on completing their service in Gombe State, emphasizing the significance of their achievement.

She remarked, “Today is a milestone for us all. You have served our nation, and now it’s time to say goodbye to this chapter. We arrived as strangers but leave as friends, bonded by shared experiences and memories.”

Nwachuku praised the corps members for actively engaging in Community Development Service and commended those who initiated and carried out impactful projects in their host communities.

She encouraged them to uphold the values of service, discipline, and resilience they learned during their service year, urging them to be exemplary ambassadors of the NYSC scheme as they enter new phases in their lives.

In conclusion, Nwachuku expressed gratitude on behalf of the NYSC Management for the contributions made by the corps members and wished them a bright and prosperous future.
