68 Miscreants Rounded Up by LAGESC, Police, and Army in Lagos

An operation carried out jointly by the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps, the Nigerian Police Force, and the Nigerian Army has led to the apprehension of 68 miscreants in different areas of Lagos Island.

According to the state Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, who made the disclosure in a post and accompanying videos shared on X.com, the operation targeted locations such as the coastal road, Ikoyi, Oniru Beach, and other parts of Lagos Island.

In his post, Wahab stated, “A total of 68 miscreants were arrested during the joint operation involving the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps, the Nigerian Police Force, and the Nigerian Army. They were apprehended while conducting surveillance in various areas of Lagos Island.

“The arrested individuals will face legal proceedings in line with the Lagos State Environmental Management and Protection Law.”

In a similar vein, PUNCH Online reported last Tuesday that 16 miscreants were nabbed by LAGESC officials at Terminal 3 in the Oshodi area of the state as part of efforts to uphold law and order.

Additionally, Wahab revealed on Thursday that 14 miscreants had been apprehended for causing disturbance to pedestrians and commuters at Terminal 3 in Oshodi.
