4U Supermarket Shut Down by FCCPC, 97 Bags of Rice Seized

Located in Wuse 2, a foreign supermarket known as 4 U has been sealed off by the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) for engaging in questionable practices, hiding information, and selling substandard bags of rice.

During the closure of the supermarket in Abuja, Adamu Abdullahi, the Acting Executive Vice Chairman of FCCPC, expressed strong dissatisfaction with the situation.

Reports indicate that FCCPC officials took action at various supermarkets in the capital city on Thursday as part of efforts to ensure compliance with price display and quantity regulations.

This enforcement campaign was prompted by consumer complaints about the escalating costs of goods, which contradict the recent appreciation of the naira against major currencies.
