The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Ondo State has apprehended a 48-year-old man, Onifade Femi, for sexually assaulting his two daughters.
The Deji of Akure, His Majesty Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II, handed over the suspect, who allegedly defiled his 6 and 9-year-old daughters, to NSCDC officials.
According to Ondo NSCDC spokesperson, Olufemi Omole, the offense took place at No 27 Liberty Hospital Road, Oluwatuyi, Akure, where the suspect took advantage of his wife’s absence due to their ongoing disputes to commit the heinous act.
“It was further revealed that few days ago the suspect bought a bottle of soft drink, mixed a powdery substance with it and gave the kids to drink,” Omole elaborated. “He went further to caress the kids and suck their private parts. The neighbors reflected on hearing the wailing of the children throughout the night after sending out their mother. Medical examination from Federal Medical Centre Annex in Akure however revealed that both kids have lost their hymen and their private part deeply opened. The State Government has shown interest in this case and the welfare of the children has been fully guaranteed.”
After the conclusion of the investigation, the suspect will be prosecuted in court.
