305 Blocks of Cannabis Seized by NDLEA, Suspect Arrested in Yobe


In Yobe, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has intercepted 305 blocks of cannabis weighing 152.5kg destined for Niger Republic.

Speaking to reporters in Damaturu, the Command’s spokesperson, Ramatu Badamasi, revealed the seizure.

The substances were confiscated in Geidam local government area by the authorities.

On 14th July, a 39-year-old suspect named Bukar was apprehended in Geidam while attempting to transport the drugs to Diffa, Niger Republic.

NDLEA Chairman, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (rtd), praised the command’s operatives for the successful operation, emphasizing the importance of their work nationwide.

He encouraged them to maintain their efforts in reducing drug supplies and demand without slowing down.
