3 Nigerian stowaways who thought they were going to Spain, land in Ghana instead

The arrest of 3 Nigerian stowaways who believed they were heading to Spain but ended up in Ghana has created a buzz. Officials of Tema Port Authorities in Ghana captured the stowaways as they sneaked into the MV Unity vessel at Apapa Port in Nigeria. The suspects, hoping to seek better opportunities in Spain, were identified as Isaac Daniel, 32, Stephen Nuta, 28, and Kelvin Popoola, 26. They were discovered hiding in a small space behind the vessel’s propeller (fan) after the vessel made a stop to discharge goods at the Port of Tema.

Upon their arrest, authorities recovered alcoholic beverages, provisions, and a hammer from the suspects who are currently in police custody. It was also revealed that one of the suspects, Isaac Daniels, had been arrested in 2019 for a similar offense and was deported to Nigeria with a $600 package. The stowaways’ misguided journey has put them in a difficult situation, facing the consequences of their actions.
