250 Computers Donated to CBT Centre by Kwara State

In a generous gesture, Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, presented 250 desktop computers to the Igbaja Computer-Based Testing Centre in Ifelodun Local Government Area. This donation aims to support the smooth administration of JAMB and other CBT exams for students in the vicinity.

Originally constructed by Major General Adelokun Eyitayo as part of a special project by the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General T. A. Lagbaja, the CBT Centre was commissioned in June. During the ceremony, the Governor had promised to enhance the facility with computers to meet JAMB standards.

At the donation event in Igbaja, the Governor, represented by the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr. Mary Arinde, highlighted the initiative’s goal of easing exam challenges faced by local students.

Expressing gratitude, the Elese of Igbaja, Oba Ahmed Arepo, lauded the Governor’s efforts, foreseeing benefits such as improved computer proficiency among schoolchildren. The community leader, Elder Olaitan Oyin-Zubair, commended the intervention’s impact on over 20 secondary schools in the region.

The Governor emphasized the administration’s commitment to education, describing it as pivotal to human advancement. He reiterated the importance of implementing education policies with utmost seriousness to foster development and opportunity.

Elder Olaitan Oyin-Zubair commended the Governor for establishing the CBT centre, citing the convenience it offers to local students who no longer need to travel long distances for exams.
