Witnessing the five days of the 2019 Idoma International Carnival in Otukpo was a breathtaking experience, as the sky adorned itself in pink, red, and black hues. It was a grandiose display of vibrant colors, reminiscent of the festive Christmas night sky.

However, the brilliance was not from the usual fireworks or crackers of the Yuletide season. It was a radiant reflection of the diverse cultural heritage present at the event.

At the 2019 edition, dignitaries from various sectors and artists converged at the St. Mary’s Primary School for a spectacular showcase. The carnival drew its curtains on December 27 and left a lasting impression on the city of Otukpo.
