During a recent appearance on the Afrobeats Podcast hosted by Adesope, Nigerian artist 1Da Banton made a surprising revelation about his involvement in Davido’s music. He disclosed that he was behind the writing of Davido’s track ‘No Competition’ featuring Asake.
Not stopping there, 1Da Banton also shared that he played a role in the production of Davido’s ‘Na Money’ which featured Angelique Kidjo and The Cavemen.
Reflecting on his musical journey, the ‘No Wahala’ singer recalled how his passion for music was sparked by none other than Nasboi, a well-known skit maker and musician. Interestingly, Nasboi happened to be his sister’s ex-boyfriend at the time.
“Nasboi, who was my sister’s ex-boyfriend, was a major influence on my decision to pursue music,” 1Da Banton revealed during the podcast.
